Always climbing up
Hey there,
Short issue, this one.
Today I went hiking in Christoffelberg mountain, in Curacao, and I have a few thoughts I want to share.
It's that one here by the way.

First of all, it is a very beautiful hike which I would definitely recommend to anyone. Totally doable, but also challenging. The view, from the top, was amazing and totally worth it.
As someone who has done hiking in the past and is reasonably fit, the trail was tiring on the ascent—which included also some climbing—and a bit dangerous on the descent. Nothing extreme though.
Secondly, I was positively impressed by the people we saw there. Parents with kids were all following the trail together, enjoying a family activity. Older couples made me wish I am so fit—and have so well-defined calves—when I reach their age. And everyone seemed to have fun while hiking.
This reinforced my opinion about the sports culture in the Netherlands. Most Dutch people grow up with various sports activities in their lives. They learn from a young age to challenge themselves and they stay fit. I can really appreciate that, and it inspires me to do the same.
I believe that in our times, it is necessary to constantly try and improve yourself mentally, as well as physically. The gym might not do it for everybody, but there is a plethora of options out there to keep your body active. There is certainly something for you, that can be both physically challenging and exciting to perform.
Always keep active. Never stop moving.
Anyway, that's all for this issue. Here's me on the top of the mountain and have a good one!
